Why do we choose to worry? Why do we say we believe everything works out perfectly, yet think the worst of people, relationships, ourselves and opportunities?
It might not even be something you're aware of doing. You might not even be aware of how often or when you're doing it. It's like an addiction to negativity for some strange reason. Someone says they want to "talk to you" and you assume its bad. You go on an interview and put in an application for something, and think because an unfathomable time has passed that you didn't get it.
Well, if you're going to use energy towards "guessing" what the future golds, why assume the worst, when you can assume the best? You don't lose anything, all you gain is truth when that moment or situation comes to past. Honor yourself, honor your mind, and honor your spirit. Fill yourself with positivity. Train your mind to think optimistically. It leads to better health, allows you to manifest what you want, and just FEELS better.
No, life doesn't happen in a perfect way we envision it, and even if our visions come true, I guarantee some other mess that you didn't consider, will occur. Just because life doesn't always happen to our liking, doesn't mean we have to inflict suffering on our mind and spirits while in limbo.
My mantra for this year is, Give It Up, Let it Go! Thats it. As I triumph through my own forest of meaningless mind chatter, I've decided to intentionally do what I want, despite what is going on in my head. As a result, when I step forth, I just let it go, and attach no expectations to the outcome. I think automatically, wow this is going to be a great opportunity, and I stop there. It's been going rather well just far and I wish other people could have this freedom and peace about life.
It goes a little deeper. Just like self love itself, its about acceptance. Choosing to go after the best in life, putting forth good energy, and accepting that, what will be, will be. And whatever will be, it is perfect. We don't know the future in exact timing. We can make really good guesses and assumptions and turn out to be accurate. We can envision possibility, and those visions can manifests themselves, but time, we have no control of.
So work on not being a chronic worrier, an extreme pessimist, or a doubting Daisy. Think the best and let it go. You honestly create more stress and health issues when you choose to do otherwise. Pick a mantra to speak to yourself when you feel nerves exploding. Words are powerful. Deep breathing will change the course of your focus.
BE Open. BE Optimistic. BE LOVE~
