The ancient African village says it best, "It takes a village." In reference to raising a child, but also in understanding that we do not exists in entirety alone, and we need a support system. When you are raised or experience life to the degree that you feel you are alone or must be independent, you get to a point in which that changes. You get to a point where you realize, you have to depend on someone else. Most of us women today feel the need to be extraterrestrial superwomen. Careers, volunteering, young familes, entrepreneurship, health, school and relationships are common jugglers. When most of us come from a single or divorced home, themes of independence trail in the foundation of our development.
In the confusion of life, peace is always welcomed and warranted, and sometimes its our village that are the deliverers and angels of peace. Angels are real, and we have them all around us. We have beloved ancestral spirits around and protecting us, but we have individuals walking around us, both known and unknown who help us everyday. BE open, aware, and thankful for the ones that love you. BE loving to those who support you, and even those who just reach out for support. We all need eachother because life is challenging, and it's not meant to be lived alone. Think about how often you had to join a team activity growing up? Team membership is the way of life. Next time, you feel discouraged, stuck or challenge, search for peace by not only speaking to yourself about the truth of your existence, but reach out to that friend or family member that offers peace and support. Reach out to your angels because in our times of need, whether they know it or not, they will bless you. If you don't believe you have those people around you, I assure you, you do. Be open Just as you acknowledge your angels, make sure to be that person that loves on and supports others. As you give, you will surely receive. BE Encouraged- Written by: Tiffany W. |
