BE Free. BE You.
What comes to mind when you read those words? Addiction. Control. Lack of control. Bondage. Confusion. Limitations. Fear. Restriction. Insecurity. Or Improvement. Butterfly. Open. Authentic. Genuine. Perfection. Those are words that resonate with me. When you don't feel free you can feel the first set of sentiments. When you break free, live your life and embrace who you are, you can connect to the second set of sentiments. What is the power that keeps us from feeling free and being our authentic selves? Yesterday I saw an amazing post from the blog, www.20somethinglayers.com raising the question, What cycle have you allowed to stifle your life? Cycles such as fear, poverty, addiction, or even what I say to be really monumental next to fear, unhealthy love keep anyone from truly living life. These cycles are nurtured and maintained one strong force. This force that can take away life itself, lies within our minds. It is our minds that have the fertile ground to plant seeds of defeat or triumph; limiting or limitless thinking; insecurity or confidence. Could you imagine a life in which your mind and spirit felt free? You feel unrestricted in laughing or even giving your opinion. You feel free from judgements or ridicules. A life in which you actually believed in your own perfection, not set by the standards of others but by the mere existence of your Being? What about a life in which you didn't feel like your adornments impacted how people see or treat you; You glamorized yourself for the fun of your creative spirit, not because you are held in bondage of staying trendy, relevant, young or "beautiful. " Could you imagine a life in which you could decide to leave that job or city that drains you? A life in which you were free to change your surroundings and circles. Could you imagine a life in which you actually lived through passion and not just survival? What if you could just be you? Simple you. Complex you. Uncertain you. Perfectly imperfect you? What if you realized there were others in this life doing just that. BEing free and embracing themselves. What if you decided to actually embrace the 5 Commandments of Self Love: Honor thyself, Honor thy mind, Honor thy body, Honor thy spirit, and Forgive. What if today you decided to commit to releasing any ideas of bondage, any unhealthy cycles, and decided to just BE? It's been a journey, but I can tell you, BEing Free feels Amazing. Finding freedom came when I truly connected to my higher self. The self that is spiritual. The self that relationships with God; a higher power because we all have a divine power within us. The power within you, within me, is limitless, does and is meant to do great things. That is the power of YOU. BE Free~BE You~ By: Tiffany W. |
