This was the first week of
Deepak Chopra and Oprah's 21 Day Challenge focusing on happiness. It's my 5th challenge, and they always seem to come at the right time. Each day is a different focusing thought, and todays was, " I am Playful." Playfulness is so important to breaking free of the responsibility of an adult. Everyday, choosing to be silly, have fun, or tap into that childlike spirit that remains in all of us is one way to revitalize your spirit and increase your happiness. It's so easy to get wrapped up in work and responsibilities, the seriousness of life and that which surrounds us, we simply forget to take time to laugh so hard we can't breathe! We forget what its like to dress up and impersonate a fantasy; to just let go and be the innocent open self we may have been as a child. Even if you were a quiet and introverted child, there was something that aroused your imagination, and took you to another level. Tap into that, as often as you can. For me, I sometimes just dance and sing around my house, I still "play dress up", or even randomly walk around the house in heels like I'm in a runway show. Life can be serious on its own, but we should take time to just play and enjoy ourselves. Especially during a week like this. News being bombarded with human atrocities, the world needs more love, joy, happiness, and fun. If there was more, we wouldn't want to hurt eachother or even ourselves. So it starts with the woman in the mirror. How will you play today and spread that joy to someone else? Have a fun playtime today and this weekend BEautiful BEing! BE You~ Tiffany W. |
