For centuries, Eastern societies have known something that only Westerners have recently began exploring within the last century: the practice of being present and mindfulness. Mindfulness is a concept of being of aware of where you are in the moment with no concentration or judgment on the past or future. With focus on the future you can practice gratitude and be truly aligned with your mind, body and spirit. Practicing mindfulness reduces stress, tension, negative emotions, worry and so much more. According to Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, "mindfulness is the miracle which we master and restore ourselves."
