Happy Monday BEautiful Beings!
This weekend an amazing life teacher, spiritual leader and author ascended above. The remarkable Dr. Wayne Dyer was a leader in transformation and teaching the world about inner peace, love, and mindfulness. It's amazing that while living we are either striving to be our greatest selves, living in the monotony of everyday, or doing something in between. The only thing that matters when we're gone is the legacy we leave and how others remember us. While present, being the best you can be to yourself and others, is what builds your legacy. Not everyone will be a world renown life teacher, but you are the world to someone. You matter to someone. The people you interact with everyday or even passing, they matter. This week, consider, what type of impact am I making? What type of legacy can I leave behind? May you be encouraged by some of the following words from the late Dr. Wayne Dyer. It's a new week BEautiful BEings! All things new bring rejuvenation!
This week, go forth considering who you are and mindfully falling in love with yourself. It's easy to get caught up in who we believe we are not and even, who we want to be like. What about just loving yourself for who you are and appreciating whoever your becoming on your journey? Stay focused on yourself without: 1. Comparing yourself to others. 2. Pointing out others shortcomings and ignoring where you can grow. BEing on your journey is about YOU and no one else. It's not about you taking to heart everything that others say about you (whether positive or negative). Its not about becoming greater to obtain something or to impress people. Its not about growing so you can look down upon people who are at different points in their journey than you. Your journey is about you becoming the best version of your self, reaching your highest potential, and being greater to add light to this world. Connect with yourself. Honor yourself. Learn who you are: your likes/dislikes, your triggers, your unhealed wounds, the parts of you that you've been hiding, your passion, your purpose, your fears, your inspiration, your strengths and your opportunities for improvement. People will tell you about yourself; what they feel you should be like and who they believe you are. People will praise you and give you credit for change and positivity. To a degree, it doesn't matter. We can use individuals around us as gages for where we are, but we must be careful because whatever someone speaks isn't an absolute truth. It's the truth as they see it, whether positive or negative. Get connected to your spirit; to your higher self and look around at your life. Those are the best barometers to gage who you are. BE You~ By: Tiffany W. Newness brings excitement! Newness can also bring discomfort, especially if something is so new, it's out of your comfort zone. But that's ok, we're all about transforming and growing so we have to learn to be ok with discomfort.
Think about when you were in middle or high school. You had 1 pair shoes you may have loved but at some point they started to get uncomfortable. They started to get tighter and maybe rub against your toes or the back of your heal. Your feet were growing and the effects were uncomfortable until you acknowledged, ok it's time for new shoes, I can't fit these anymore. Well it's the same with our mindsets and behaviors. We are so attached to our current ways but maybe some person, some transition, some situation, or literally time causes a shift in change, growth, and transformation. We must give up some old ways to make room for a better life. We are creatures of habit, so change can be not only difficult but resisted. Sometimes we say we want change but because we only know our current realities, we don't know what it actually takes to change or get the outcome we desire. Some people want a lean, sculpted body but most have no idea of the mental discipline it takes to follow a strict nutrition and fitness regiment. Some people want to be wealthy, but they too have no idea what level of discipline it takes to build wealth. To get from Point A to Point C, there will be change and it will be uncomfortable. Newness can mean lots of new disciplines: Long hours, saying no to what you don't need, saying yes to what you do need, changing how you think, changing what you believe, or even changing who you hang around. It's a new week, and in celebration of newness, I challenge you to think about how you can grow. What new perspectives can you take on? What new habits can you begin to form to become a new and better you? Could you improve at work? In your romantic relationship? In your interpersonal relationships? In your relationship with your self? BE Open to a new perspective. Newness births greatness. Newness births expansion and elevation. Newness stimulates you. Newness connects you to a new world, a new way of living and even new people. BE Open~ By: Tiffany W. Humans share a lot of characteristics. Bones, organs, opposable thumbs, communication skills, and basic emotions. There is more that connects us than distinguishes, but let's be really clear, everyone does not think or act the same.
In a world of similarities, there are outliers. Outliers are those who don't necessarily operate in the same capacity as others, for different reasons. The extremely mentally ill, artistic geniuses, the super wealthy, social movement leaders, tech genuises, inventors, and spiritual/mindfulness leaders. These people's lives are a reflection of what's going on in their heads. With that being said, you may be one who thinks and acts differently than many around you. At times it can be frustrating because you may be misunderstood or even ridiculed. If you're a big thinker, a dreamer, and a visionary, others will confront you with doubt. If you are on a serious journey of love and higher thought, people may call you unrealistic. Embrace it. Yes you can be an unicorn while still accepting others views and behaviors. One idea that many people have is that their way is the only way; the right way or the best way. Their way of living, speaking and especially thinking. I have a friend who acknowledges that they think outside the box and they think for themselves, but if you attempt to show an alternative perspective, they're extremely closed. The greatest minds know that there is more they don't know. When you ever get to a place in life that you feel you reached the pentacle, it might be time to surround yourself with different people and a new environment because you don't know what you don't know, and you definitely don't know that there's a different perspective that will push you. Embrace who you are but be conscious not to let your ego be bruised by the judgments of others neither let your ego become too inflated to believe there's no other way to think, live or be beyond your own understanding. BE You~ By: Tiffany W. Happy Monday BEautiful BEing!
If you're reading this, not only have you've been blessed with another beautiful day to BE love, give love and receive love but you're blessed with the capacity to see and pay forward today's post! I just wanted to share some soul filled reminders of how to fill yourself up today and keep yourself filled up so you can live a love and purpose driven life! 1. State your gratitude. Whether in the morning, before bed or throughout the day, consider at least 10 things, people, or opportunities you're grateful for. Gratitude is an expression of positive emotion and a foundation of an abundant life. When you're focused on what you're grateful for, there's not much room for complaint. Don't want to go to work this morning? Be grateful you have a job and an opportunity to skillfully contribute to the world! 2. Check in with a positive message or look at positive content. Messages like, " You're Awesome," " Today I choose joy," etc. are great mesaages to inhale. The more you fill your mind and spirit up with positive words, the more positive thoughts and behaviors you'll have, thus creating a life that you can appreciate more. Listen to a motivational message on YouTube (there's thousands maybe millions of them). Listen to positive upbeat music. 3. Before you speak, THINK! Look below. 4. Smile as much as possible. It will keep you in a better move and increase your energy. 5. Get up and move every hour! Stay active to keep your blood flow healthy, keep your energy up, and keep your metabolism active. 6. Give Love. Dish out compliments, smiles, random acts of kindness, and positive affirmations to folks. 7. BE You. Situations and people will lead you to question yourself and may even lead to feel ashamed or uncomfortable, but no matter what, just be you. BE mindful of where you can grow and improve, but stay in a place of Honoring Yourself! BE Love~ By: Tiffany W. When I think of how truly connected everything in life is, I joyfully think about the song and opening scene of Disney's The Lion King, in which all the animals from the pride lands came to the birthing ceremony of Simba. In the background, we hear a story about the Circle of Life.
I mean, really dissect the lyrics. "From the day we arrive on the planet And blinking, step into the sun There's more to see than can ever be seen More to do than can ever be done There's far too much to take in here More to find than can ever be found But the sun rolling high Through the sapphire sky Keeps great and small on the endless round It's the Circle of Life And it moves us all Through despair and hope Through faith and love Till we find our place On the path unwinding In the Circle The Circle of Life" The circle of life, the food chain, destiny, serendipity, and "everything happens for a reason" are all very similar notions to me. Every thing and every being has a purpose. All that is orchestrated naturally in our lives, is testament that life happens full circle. Birth and death. Loss and gain. Joy and sadness. The opposition of life is so important to understand and embrace because it shapes you to be stronger, more resilient, and of greater gratitude, if you choose to look at life's opportunities in such a way. Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we respond. Well, if we embark on the journey of life with an open mind and spirit, knowing for sure that every person, lesson, and experience is working together, life's blows can be taken standing straight up. To be simple, I suggest for to just believe that one day, it will all make sense because it will! I promise. Well, if you're open to connecting the dots. When you're experiencing whatever you're experiencing, sometimes you can wonder to yourself, Why? Why is this happening? You might even go so far as to wonder, why is this happening to me? Well ...why not you? Why not now? Why not? Are you so special and unique that you should be exempt from the difficulty and challenging times of the human experience? I think not. But as you ask those questions, consider your role in the plot of life. See we have thoughts and actions that often bring certain occurrences in our lives, but in a grander scheme, we also are just containers for God's greater plans. Our influence and control only goes so far. So in understanding that there's a grander scheme than we can imagine or create, we can choose to look at life differently. Honoring the journey, the confusion, the timing, and the seemingly incongruity. When things just don't make sense, I think that's a sign! It's the beginning of a beautiful week, and I want you to choose the attitude," something great is in store and this is serving a great purpose! " "This" can be the day, week, interaction with a stranger, coworker, family member, traffic, or even the time in your life. Shift your relationship with time, expectations, and development. BE Open. BE Hopeful~ By: Tiffany W. Thank GOD it's Monday!
The beginning of a new week. It's a fresh day, a fresh morning which means you have made it beyond your past and each moment is closer to the future, as even the future becomes the past. It's really an exciting concept when you think about how beautiful time is. Allowing us to experience the miraculous event of life itself, but far too often we don't even pay attention to the beauty in each moment and even each minute that might be ahead of us. Yes the weekend is over. You're weekend was either great or completely uninteresting (maybe somewhere in between). Spring is here so your favorite shows are ending (or starting). Your social media timelines are being flooded with remnants of breakups or weddings (it's definitely wedding season but for some reason it's arrived a bit early this year). All in all, just like Monday, spring represents the beauty of new life. The transition from cold storms to the blossoming of beautiful flowers. In each new season, new month, new week and new day, take with you the lessons and values of the past, but choose to leave worry, discontent, dissatisfaction, loneliness, hurt, anger, or even indifference in the past. As always, everyday can be as equally amazing if you see it that way. Set a powerful intention. Seek out positive encouragement. Choose to shift any perspectives that aren't serving you. Honor yourself and those around you throughout the whole day. Happy Monday! BE Encouraged~ By: Tiffany W. March is Womens History Month! What better way to kick it off with a phenomenal poem by a phenomenal woman about us Phenomenal Women!
Pretty women wonder where my secret lies. I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size But when I start to tell them, They think I’m telling lies. I say, It’s in the reach of my arms, The span of my hips, The stride of my step, The curl of my lips. I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me. I walk into a room Just as cool as you please, And to a man, The fellows stand or Fall down on their knees. Then they swarm around me, A hive of honey bees. I say, It’s the fire in my eyes, And the flash of my teeth, The swing in my waist, And the joy in my feet. I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me. Men themselves have wondered What they see in me. They try so much But they can’t touch My inner mystery. When I try to show them, They say they still can’t see. I say, It’s in the arch of my back, The sun of my smile, The ride of my breasts, The grace of my style. I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me. Now you understand Just why my head’s not bowed. I don’t shout or jump about Or have to talk real loud. When you see me passing, It ought to make you proud. I say, It’s in the click of my heels, The bend of my hair, the palm of my hand, The need for my care. ’Cause I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me. Maya Angelou, “Phenomenal Woman” from And Still I Rise. Copyright © 1978 by Maya Angelou. Is there something you've been wanting to go after and try, but you just keep talking yourself out of it? You know deep down inside it's something you should be going after because there's a tug on your spirit. Well...just go. Just Do It! Even when you doubt yourself, when you feel afraid, and especially if you're uncomfortable. All it takes is one step, then another, and then another. Convincing yourself is 90% of the battle.
People who have a weak connection with their spiritual selves, and allow their minds impose too much on their lives, tend to live in confusion and are indecisive. Clarity occurs when you know how to silence your mind and allow your spirit to guide you. " If you'll become a confident, decisive person, you'll accomplish a lot more with less effort."- Joyce Meyer Look, this life is meant to be lived with you giving and receiving love, joy and abundance. You will get what you want when you learn to surrender and give away whatever you're supposed to give. We are all blessed with different talents, passions, purposes, and ideas, but unfortunately most of those blessings go to the grave. They never see the light of day because their vessels lived a life of fear and may have walked away from their purpose because of doubt, confusion or even past mistakes. "If you feel that God is prompting you to give something away, help someone out, or make a change in your life, do it! Take some action and sow seeds of obedience."-Joyce Meyer Guess what, everything doesn't work out how you want it to and even when you want it to because you as a person must be molded and formed to be the right person at the right time to be the poster child of that vision, purpose, passion or idea. Timing is everything, and even if what you want doesn't pan out when you want it to, keep going, everything will always work together. I've never considered writing for a living and because of this blog not only do I have my first devotional book, but I'm working on second book now. Amazing things happen when you honor your spirit and walk in obedience. Choose faith over fear because there's an amazing life on the other side of what you can't see. So today, I want you to look at your vision board, your list of goals, your journal or wherever you capture those dreams, goals, visions, etc. I want you to declare favor and ask your higher power to direct you in the way to share gift. What you seek is seeking you and it will find you if you stay open. Make steps this week towards what you want. BE Fulfilled~ By: Tiffany W. Blessed Monday BEautiful BEings!
Are you feeling refreshed from the weekend? It's a new week and new day! Another opportunity to live fearlessly and go after life! Another opportunity to BE Fearless with life! BE Fearless in love, your pursuit of happiness, your connection to joy, your transformation, accomplishing goals and making dreams happen, and even in BEing you! Yesterday I saw the movie, WILD, and wow, that movie sums up Fearlessness. Despite the fact that a woman who was overcoming drug and sex addiction, processing a recent divorce, and still mourning the loss of her mother, went on a 1,000mile hike on the Pacific Coast Trail and experienced generally nothing but physical pain, horrible hunger, and the resurfacing of traumatic memories, the movie was an ode to fearlessness and transformation. When we step out on faith in any area of life and step into a realm in which we are uncomfortable, great things happen! Shifts happen. Risk and great returns occur, in the form of valuable lessons. You may not always get the experience you expect from stepping out on Faith, but you will become a stronger and more positive person. For this fact, positivity is never something we can have too much of. Fearlessness helps you see the silver lining in anything, and keeps you present. Depite the fact you may be nervous or fearful of an act, your spirit kind of says, hey im going to do this, hope for the best and will let it go. Which to me is much better than making up a thousand and ten reasons why something won't work, why you're not good enough, etc. Been there, done that, sheesh it's exhausting. This year, I'm working through my own fears. Even though most of life I've been rather carefree and fearless, I realized that after experiencing a lot of loss and what I considered "failure" in my life in a small period of time, it unconsciously shook my spirit of courage and my sentiments of belief in myself. For that reason I decided my personal mantra for this year would be , Give It Up, Let It Go! Go after my blessings. Go after the visions God places in my spirit. Go after the things I have of fear of not accomplishing. No matter what I do, hoping for the best, having faith that divine order will take place, and just letting go. So this week and beyond, I hope that you can live through an eye of faith. No act of faith is too small. No step towards fearlessness is too small. In conversations, approaching someone you don't know, submitting an application for something special, picking up a new hobby/interest, starting that side business, or whatever it is. Think positive. Think Big. Have faith in the best outcome, whatever it may be. Be Fearless and live some life! BE Fearless~ Written by: Tiffany W. |
