Newness brings excitement! Newness can also bring discomfort, especially if something is so new, it's out of your comfort zone. But that's ok, we're all about transforming and growing so we have to learn to be ok with discomfort.
Think about when you were in middle or high school. You had 1 pair shoes you may have loved but at some point they started to get uncomfortable. They started to get tighter and maybe rub against your toes or the back of your heal. Your feet were growing and the effects were uncomfortable until you acknowledged, ok it's time for new shoes, I can't fit these anymore. Well it's the same with our mindsets and behaviors. We are so attached to our current ways but maybe some person, some transition, some situation, or literally time causes a shift in change, growth, and transformation. We must give up some old ways to make room for a better life. We are creatures of habit, so change can be not only difficult but resisted. Sometimes we say we want change but because we only know our current realities, we don't know what it actually takes to change or get the outcome we desire. Some people want a lean, sculpted body but most have no idea of the mental discipline it takes to follow a strict nutrition and fitness regiment. Some people want to be wealthy, but they too have no idea what level of discipline it takes to build wealth. To get from Point A to Point C, there will be change and it will be uncomfortable. Newness can mean lots of new disciplines: Long hours, saying no to what you don't need, saying yes to what you do need, changing how you think, changing what you believe, or even changing who you hang around. It's a new week, and in celebration of newness, I challenge you to think about how you can grow. What new perspectives can you take on? What new habits can you begin to form to become a new and better you? Could you improve at work? In your romantic relationship? In your interpersonal relationships? In your relationship with your self? BE Open to a new perspective. Newness births greatness. Newness births expansion and elevation. Newness stimulates you. Newness connects you to a new world, a new way of living and even new people. BE Open~ By: Tiffany W. Is there something you've been wanting to go after and try, but you just keep talking yourself out of it? You know deep down inside it's something you should be going after because there's a tug on your spirit. Well...just go. Just Do It! Even when you doubt yourself, when you feel afraid, and especially if you're uncomfortable. All it takes is one step, then another, and then another. Convincing yourself is 90% of the battle.
People who have a weak connection with their spiritual selves, and allow their minds impose too much on their lives, tend to live in confusion and are indecisive. Clarity occurs when you know how to silence your mind and allow your spirit to guide you. " If you'll become a confident, decisive person, you'll accomplish a lot more with less effort."- Joyce Meyer Look, this life is meant to be lived with you giving and receiving love, joy and abundance. You will get what you want when you learn to surrender and give away whatever you're supposed to give. We are all blessed with different talents, passions, purposes, and ideas, but unfortunately most of those blessings go to the grave. They never see the light of day because their vessels lived a life of fear and may have walked away from their purpose because of doubt, confusion or even past mistakes. "If you feel that God is prompting you to give something away, help someone out, or make a change in your life, do it! Take some action and sow seeds of obedience."-Joyce Meyer Guess what, everything doesn't work out how you want it to and even when you want it to because you as a person must be molded and formed to be the right person at the right time to be the poster child of that vision, purpose, passion or idea. Timing is everything, and even if what you want doesn't pan out when you want it to, keep going, everything will always work together. I've never considered writing for a living and because of this blog not only do I have my first devotional book, but I'm working on second book now. Amazing things happen when you honor your spirit and walk in obedience. Choose faith over fear because there's an amazing life on the other side of what you can't see. So today, I want you to look at your vision board, your list of goals, your journal or wherever you capture those dreams, goals, visions, etc. I want you to declare favor and ask your higher power to direct you in the way to share gift. What you seek is seeking you and it will find you if you stay open. Make steps this week towards what you want. BE Fulfilled~ By: Tiffany W. ![]() Is your word your bond? Are your words your servants? Mine are. I speak things into existence as though they were. Did you know that you are a Spirit, you live in a body and you possess a soul? I used to be impulsive. Eating whatever I wanted. Saying whatever I wanted and even worse, wallowing in my emotions for however long I wanted. These endeavors and activities proved to be fruitless overtime. Your soul is made up of your mind, will and emotions. If you are not careful, your soul will take you into stagnant waters and soon you will find that you have no winds to cast you anywhere that you want to go. The mind, will and emotions are very strong and childlike. Your spirit however, is mature and eternal. Have you ever wondered why it’s so easy to walk away from plans and do what you want in the moment? That is your soul right there. Wanting, yearning and demanding your attention to take the path of least resistance. The soul is like a child. The Spirit, is mature, it does not override the Soul, it moves via permission. Like God, who will knock until you answer. If you train your mind, quiet it down and focus on the truth, you will have accomplished what is referred to as a "sound mind." A sound mind is rational. For example, you say, "I want to lose weight" or even better you make your goal specific. "I am going to release 30lbs in 4 months." You've made your meal and exercise plan. You purchased healthy foods. You are ready! Suddenly, at work, everyone is having a birthday and bringing decadent treats around. What do you decide? Let's say, you decide to have a slice of cake, and you half-heartedly follow your plan. You say things like "One piece won't hurt, I've done great all day, I deserve this." Is that rational to your goals? No it is not. That, is not a sound mind. A sound mind, would say "I would love to have a piece of that cake, but I am choosing to stick to my plans because I have a goal of 30lbs and a window of 4 months, I have no time to waste." Quiet the mind, and you will grow (change). Train your mind to become more aware, not of self (soul), but of truth (spirit). Be truth-aware. The mind, if it believes the emotions, can cause your will to go against what Spirit truly wants. A healthy mind will produce healthy behaviors. How to communicate to your Soul There are a few “gates” you may have heard “the eyes are the windows to the soul.” The eyes, or what you watch sends messages to your mind, also what you hear, and also what you speak! Whatever you see, hear and say is going to become your soul’s “genetic” makeup. For example, if you watch twerking, hear songs about twerking and talk about twerking, guess what you will want to do? TWERK! Now, that you know how powerful you are (which is that you can manifest things into existence) you must know that you cannot serve two thoughts at the same time. The word of God says you cannot serve God and mammon, you will love one and hate the other. Serve one thought and stick to it. If you want to change something, say, develop discipline. Then, watch shows about discipline, listen to podcasts about discipline and talk about how disciplined you are. The change will not always be overnight, it happens over time. Sometimes you will find yourself battling certain thoughts, but even if you spend 51% of the time thinking about the change you WANT you’ve won. Practice: 1. Make a simple goal that you can follow perhaps make a vow that you will workout for 30 minutes 2. Prepare one day in the week that you will commit to this and do it (not 29 minutes, 30!) 3. Acknowledge that you have kept your word and say “My words are my servants, I shall have what I say.” 4. Ante up the goal and repeat. 5. Create affirmations: In the event that old recordings come to thought, replace it with an affirmation, repeat these day and night. 6. Use youtube, podcasts, books and songs that are congruent to who you are. In time the child/soul will become obedient to what the Soul desires because you practice what you preach. I am a woman of my word. My words are my servants. I have what I say. Soon your words will be so obedient to you that you won’t have to make an effort. You will speak to things as though they were and they shall come to pass quickly. God bless You do not have to teach yourself how to be impulsive. But rather, you train yourself to be disciplined. Train your mind, quiet your mind. This message is not to beat you up. Know that you will want to do what you feel like doing. But you can speed up your process by flooding your gates (eyes, ears, mouth) with the change. You will have your same memories, you will have some old recordings but your affirmations that are connected to your Spirit will continue to grow. Your actions will go in the direction of your dominant thought. Your natural impulsive thoughts can become overrided. That is the part you can control. Later in this posting I will go into how you can do this. Seed..time and harvest. It takes time. You cannot cram all of this new information and think that you will change. You are transformed by the renewing of your mind. What Can You DO? Think of the Gates: Eye, Ears, and Mouth. Eye Window: Vision board, watching youtube videos, reading books, reading your own affirmations Ear Window: podcasts, songs, youtube videos, hearing your own affirmations Mouth Window: Speaking your own affirmations to yourself. Talking about your change with other people. The eyes are windows to the soul, what you see picks up messages and has direct access to your soul (mind will and emotions) and when these messages reside in the soul, your actions follow accordingly. What are other windows, or message receivers? What you hear and what you speak. Are you moving? Time is Money I believe just about everyone in America has heard the old adage “time is money.” What is money? It is a currency, or a current it flows. If you are not careful with where you place your time your precious money can go anywhere. BE Renewed!
